In Sanskrit, Bhakti means “loving service”. Bhakti Yoga is the yoga of love and devotion and the path we follow that serves to reconnect us with the divine and to reawaken the eternal blissful love that is within each of our hearts.
We at Govinda’s Garden Café encourage people to eat more plant based meals as we this would immediately cut down on the resources needed to produce animal proteins while reducing methane gas emissions. It can take up to ten times more energy to produce animal protein than plant protein.
In 2010, a report from United Nations Environment Program’s (UNEP) International Panel of Sustainable Resource Management, states, that, as the global population surges towards a predicted 9.1 billion people by 2050, western tastes for diets rich in meat and dairy products are unsustainable and a global shift towards a more plant-based diet is critical for mitigating global issues of hunger, fuel, poverty and the worst impacts of climate change.
We believe in promoting a healthy 100% plant based cuisine that’s good for us and our planet.
We believe we can live a healthier lifestyle with a lower carbon footprint
We believe that through a change in diet, through compassion and conscious education collectively we can make a difference.
We believe in the Power of One!
